Our youth development initiatives deliver educationally focused programs to guide students in building learning skills, leadership development, and Social-emotional skills; equipping youth with a jump start to life-long success. We offer structured activities to improve academic achievement, leadership, community engagement, and life skills.
After-school Programs 2023-2024
The P.O.S.E. for Gains Tutoring Program is a comprehensive and personalized educational support initiative designed to enhance students' learning experiences and academic achievements. This program is meticulously crafted to cater to the diverse needs of students across different grade levels, subjects, and learning styles. With a team of dedicated and experienced tutors, P.O.S.E. for Gains aims to foster a positive and productive learning environment that empowers students to reach their full potential.

Bridges Mentoring program is for at-risk girls in grades 6th - 12th. BM offers enrichment/ mentoring as a support, and guide to encouraging girls to build self-esteem, strive for excellence, and achieve worthy goals for themselves. This mentoring program also facilitates group sessions with girls and one-to-one mentoring. They have fun and participate in activities geared towards building positive peer-to-peer connections in-school and during out-of-school time.

Ledges Enrichment Program offered free tutoring and mentoring to elementary school students in grades 2nd - 5th grade, through our America Read/ America Counts, Kent State University-sponsored program. Our focus is to help struggling students increase their literacy skills and math skills.
LEADERSHIP & LITERACY
SUMMER 2022 PROGRAM
Summer Leaddership and Literacy program focused on empowering youth heros in their community. Students read a combined total of 150 hours of reading for the summer. They learned how to become leaders in their community. Youth created comic books and shared at family engagemnt day.
